"TRT 4K" Linear TV Channel is Live!

Starting 19th of Feb, TRT 4K (4Kp50) channel is live at Turksat satellite at frequency 12123, horizontal with symbol rate 15000.
This is the output of a joint cooperation of TRT, Turksat and Vestel. This is a key technological advancement in Turkish broadcasting industry.
The stream is HEVC encoded with AAC audio profile. You need to have 4K TV set with integrated HEVC satellite receiver to be able to get the stream.

The Live TV stream is 30 Mbitps. Hence, considering the data-hungry requirement of 4K broadcastin DSL techno in Turkey seems not sufficient to deliver 4K-type service.

I anticipate TRT 4K channel will boost 4K TV sales in Turkey during the rest of the year.
