Turksat 4A satellite has been launched

On 14th of February, new Turkish Turksat 4A satellite has been launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan and delivered into orbit.

TURKSAT-4A will provide telecommunication and direct TV broadcasting services over a wide geographic region between west of China and east of England, spanning Turkey, as well as Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa. The new satellite will have a much wider span compared to previously launched satellites. It will be operated by Turksat.

Türksat Satellite Communications and Cable TV Operations Company (Türksat A.Ş.) is the sole communications satellite operator in Turkey and also the sole Cable-TV  pay-TV operator that owns Kablo TV(Analog Cable TV) and Teledunya services(Digital Cable TV).

Turkey pay-TV has great growth potential..

According to a new post, that refers to a report by Digital TV Research, Pay TV revenues  in the Middle East and North Africa will reach to $5,6 billion in 2020 with 83% growth compared to 2010.
